What a day. Had to jump a lot of gates, good job I'm young and fit.

But what really did it today was a sticky window sill. I have this house, bit of a smelly family (only one I have). The son likes to leave stuff on the windows, started being shampoo dropped from the bathroom onto the kitchen window. Today though doing this upstairs window, go to wipe the sill and it feels like treacle. (aargh) brush felt sticky all day long and struggleing to get it clean. Had to rinse off every where. The windows weren't effected though. 

The nightmare was that we had about 45 places to do today and this happened after about 15.

If i get something on my brush that is stichy or oil i give it a spray with TFR, rub it in & then give it a good rince under a tap. Problem sorted.

It's an Estate in Basildon with lots of terraced houses, not Rayleigh with lots of semi's.

I do a large three-story house which has been converted into bedsits; it's ran by a charity which homes young adults who've got no-where to stay.

Anyway, last year I cleaned a second floor window with my brush, only to discover that the guy above had emptied his chip pan out of his window, and all the fat had splashed on the windows below (they were open; and they're the sash-type ones that open outward).

I wasn't pleased; my bristles were covered in fat!  I had a spare brush, but it was at home; and I had to use ladders to clean the fat from the windows below the offending youths window.

No the Knares near the hospital.  You need to be brave to do Whitmore way, it's only a stones throw from Craylands.

Okay the brush is still sticky.  It's been washed through with fairy twice and soaked in a strong dilution of tfr for over 24 hours and rinsed out.  The affected bristles still feel sticky.  What should I do now.  It's a gardeners dual trim.

It's a shame you do not know what it is exactly.

Grease - Perhaps a commercial kitchen de-greaser would do the job. Hotels use this and it basically cuts through any grease at all.

Adhesive - If it is a glue of some sort then you will need to find out what type it is and get an appropriate solvent. Worth trying Meths or white spirit to see if this dissolves it.

Paint - Try white spirit again.
