Just read the other thread  regarding business names ,  and i was wondering if any of you have the same name as anyone else, either on here ... or locally, and have you had any problems.... for example i saw a business name i liked.... was another window cleaner 200 miles from me, so if i decided to use that name ... could i?

as 200 miles away is not affecting him regarding competion etc....but if he has it registered . can i still use it.

i probably wont as i am wanting to create my own original one , but thought i would ask you guys your experiences

Mine and jakies is the same (Reflections) we live miles apart so its no bother to either of us.

Ask Gardiners how many people they have ordering off them with the same name, i bet theres very few with different names except for those who use ther own name

If there is a ltd company with the same name, you will not be able to make your company ltd as there can be only one.
If a company with same name can prove that you using the same name affects their business, the longest running company can request that you change the name.

You can have any name you want, even if someone else already has it. Would't you want to come up with something original so it sticks in the mind and gives you a bit of identity though?

yep ''clearview window cleaning'' ......... wot a prat i get phone calls from accounts that i dont have and ive had one firm pay my money to someone else!  he has 3 clearviews doing work for him
