As I read the website, Paul, for that price there is no gum on the stamp (thats an extra!).

If you don't want to splash out on a prit stick, fresh road kill will suffice, I always go for a fresh squirell or hedgehog,  both of which have excelent adhesive qualities and when your stamps are all finished your left with a tasty sandwich filling.

Have you considered SmartStamp?  It's great for doing mailouts.

Cheaper than buying stamps and you can simply top up your account online with a credit/debit card.

You can print your company logo on the envelope too, plus a sender's address

Nope, that's just for the privilege of using the system.

But smart stamps are lower priced than actual stamps, not quite sure exactly how much by, you'd probably have to print several hundred in a month to make up the subscription cost but I don't consider that a problem tbh.

I suppose if you consider that your monthly subscription is paying for the convenience, the superior presentation this system affords you and of course their upkeep of the system etc, it's not a huge price to pay.

If you're considering doing mail shots on a regular basis I can thoroughly recommend it

can you print the stamps along with your address database so you only have to print once?

There is a mail merge function incorporated into it, yes.  I think it works in conjunction with the address book of outlook, but not quite sure exactly how flexible it is.

I'd imagine you can do it with your database stored as a .csv file.  I haven't used the function because my mailings all have the customer's address printed on them and I use windowed envelopes.

You can download the program and run it on a trial basis, printing "dummy" postage so give it a go

Jim, I have got a programme which lists all the companies by area as a csv file, if it is useful to you or anyone else that wants it send me an email with your town and I will send it over to you.
A few people took me up on this about a year ago, don't know how they got on though, it might be a bit out of date now.

Can anyone help me? I have a rather large database of addresses I want to copy them a word document so I can print them on to sticky labels for a mailshot should I copy them into excel, outlook or access I have been told I can do it using any of these programmes can anyone advise on which one and how to do it?

I've just had a go using Ability, Open Office, Works and Excel and i couldn't do it. Surely it can be done one way or another
