Never work Bank holidays. Bank holidays are bank holidays for a reason. Why would any thoughtful person want to work a bank holiday, it makes them look needy and is not professional one little bit. :o

I worked yesterday as i decide when i work and what days i take off i also do the majority of my work at the beginning of the week so i can take it easier towards the end

I do take other days off though so i can spend time with the kids and get a break from the monotony that is window cleaning

I cant see how you can say it is not professional to work on a bank holiday, I woulod love to see what would happen if all the professionals did not work, this bank holiday I made the choice not to work, I have worked many of them over the years and will continue to do so as I offer a professional service all year, it so happened I was up to date this time round and had the option to take 4 days off which I took.

A bank holiday is like any other apart from the people that work for others or have the same mentality from working for others (thats not a dig at you by the way)

Things do not stop for a bank holiday I got a ferry and they was working, I went to a pub and they served up a nice beer, I went to a shop and got shopping thank god the later all did not think the same as I would have had no shopping, stuck somewhere waiting for a ferry or more important I would have not had the cold beer I ordered.
