Not a bad little machine worth around 2 grand of anyones money.

Dave Atkins in Worcester had one for 5 years with very little trouble, they are based on the early Prochem 18hp Blazer.  The Van well its any bodies guess (what you see is what you get)

I would value the TM anywhere between £1800 - £2500 (depending on the condition in the flesh).  The van,  well as Daddy Dave said is anyones guess but id say between £1000 - £1700 (depending on the condition in the flesh).  If you got that setup for £3000 - £3300 then you would have a good buy.  Its not worth the Buy It Now of £4995.

His advert states;

"The machine is approximately 6 years old, but has done very little work, 340 hours"

"All in all, there was approximately £25K invested in the above machinery and chemicals. A lot of money, but I made a tidy living for more years than I care to remember"

How could he have made alot of money from it when it has done a mere 340hrs?

Richie.

Oriental Rugs at £500 a through me thinks Richie.

I'm sticking with 2 grand at best for the machine and £ 800 for the van.

There are some proper TM/van bargains if you have £5-10k.

Someone had a sprinter with a Maxx in it and went for c£6.5k That a lot of machine for not much money.

The £3-4k are a gamble but cheaper than a scorpion.

Its very tatty.

He hasnt even cleaned the back of it out.  He could have made a bit of effort to clean it up. Its going to be rough especially if its been standing for ages, tyres will have perished etc etc.

If any one wants it they are going to kick him in the nuts, especially if its been on his drive for a while. His wife and the neighbours will be giving him grief.
If someone offered him 3 grand cash he would probably take it, after all there is only so many times you can put something on Ebay.

I asked him if he would take £3200 but he declined.  I explained how i came to the sum but he was not interested.

340 hours is very low do you think it's seen a good accountant to get some hours back?

Six year old TM - 340 hours, less then 60 hours per year, just over 1 hour per week - hardly worth the initial outlay!
Dont quite know where he will go with this one.
How much is a "p" reg van worth?
Maybe be better to split the sale, keep the TM separate to the van? Dunno!

That convinces me Chris - the figure of 340 MUST be incorrect.  ;D

I have mentioned to another CC that their is a TM & van for sale.  If i could get that 1 at the right price i would stand to make £££ myself.

After all were all out to earn £££

Watching a program the other day apparently scrap dealers are picking up non runners at auction because with the current value of steel old bangers are worth £500.
