Http why can mods do it

How come the mods can put in a link and we cant, surely this must of been stopped by them if so why.

Because when it was 1st mentioned when the problem started we where told that they didnt no about it, that it would be looked into, and the problem was unknown, instead of just saying its been stopped etc.

Yes you can leave out the http part but that isn't the answer to the problem as some pages have the http then no www. If you remove the http from this then the links don't work. So really leaving it out is only half the solution.

You can just add www instead of say, cgi or whatever.  Also, as long as it sits between the [ url ] [ / url ] then it should still work as a hyperlink
not on quite a few sites It will not work, but for the most it will.

CIU admin does need to sort this part out tbh

The http error seems to be a glitch on the forum software rather than something admin have done on purpose. The whole forum is running on quite dated software (SMF 1.0 RC1), and an update would no doubt fix this problem. It is however a bit technical, and admin seems to take very little interest in the running of the site,... so don't expect it to be fixed soon!
