ok so i am still trad, but i think i will get a wfp, i know this is an old qustion but kinda want some input
i work in countryside mostly so in and out of van and alot of stop starting, but its nice work, not same old houses,   
               what ro do you recomend?
               size tank?
               brush?
               the little extras you recomend
i know this is a bit of an old and repeated qustion but i just want that reasurance, sorry i am a worryier! lol

we do the countryside and work with a trolley hooked up to 50m of nicrobore and a 250 ltr tank in a box trailer. works for us nicely . best of both worlds if you need it.

I work all one off rural properties, and used traditional methord since 1984, then changed to wfp.

600ltrs should be enough for you, I use a van mounted system, and work one day with my daughter and two with my Son, and the rest on my own.

I would not like the hastle of changing barrels all the time.

I would say tank size at least 500ltrs, there's nothing worse than running out half way through the day.  You'd probably get at least 20 average size places out of 500 liters maybe more like 30.  You could supplement a van set up with a backpack or trolley, the back pack being a far cheaper option, but having either as an extra is a very good idea.
I've found the double trim superlight from gardiners great, or a vikan mono is also a good brush.

650 litre tank.
Onboard DI incase you run out on the job.
Split charge relay,.. defo a bonus if you work rural
100 mtrs hose should be plenty, but a backpack for any awkward access windows
A petrol pump type dispensing nozzle for quick backpack filling is a very good and inexpensive time saver
A decent float valve in the tank that doesn't slow the filling down is essential.
A battery meter (cheap off ebay!)
A hot setup (DIY if you're brave enough!)

I have been going quite along time and in the early years there wasnt as many window cleanners, you could go into most rural villages and they had no window cleaner.

I have targeted a few large jobs, some by direct contact in person and some by mail.

But most have come through reconmedation, I have allways tried to do a good job and customers know they can trust me.

Also when you have been servicing areas over a very long time, you get known by site and van sign writing.

We do a mix of country and urban work.  So far I've fitted out five vans and we all manage very well with the following:

400lt tank. (flat)

100psi Surflo

85ah battery

varistream.

1 x 18ft pole with 10" Vikan

1 x 24ft pole with 10" Vikan

Metal hosereel with 100m of microbore

Ez-snap fittings

The above lets us each work for a full day on various types of work without running out of water.  The 100m hose will reach almost any job, however big so no need for trolleys.

I have a 40-40 pumped RO, but the 300gpd from RO-man is more than enough for a one man set up.  I have a Draper submersible pump in my IBC to fill the van tanks.

There you go - everything you need.  Just remember to charge the battery every two days.
