I haven't joined them but I did get the call. It's for low value contracts only. Apparently according to their sales pitch, they have started up because of a new bit of euro legislation has just come out saying that where the tenders are under a certain value the authority should aim to award the tender to local small businesses. The one thing that put me off was when the lady called she said that they had contracts waiting to be filled. The way she worded it made it sound like she meant window cleaning but when I questioned this and said I would join there and then only if she guaranteed there were specific window cleaning tenders in my area at this moment in time (which is what she implied when I answered the phone) she admitted that they didn't actually have any at the moment. This put me off because she promised something that she couldn't deliver. However I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had any results with this service. If it works then I might reconsider.

you can find out the tenders for local government yourself, they have websites set up where they put them in advance, one in my area is called "the chest"

h ttps://www.thechest.nwce.gov.uk/cms/CMS.nsf/vLiveDocs/230DD29B6DC1C2DE8025735B004A735A?OpenDocument

You just got to sign up etc....

Massive contracts over a certain threshold, ie 500000euros i think are on this site...

Seems they are picking on Window Cleaners! as I had a call, I told them if I was looking for council then I will contact them direct! As it happens council work is under priced anyway as they have to go with the lowest bid! And I don’t really won’t to be a busy fool!

i also had the call  ::)

i couldnt beleive my luck, my wife rang me and said someone has just left a message and theyre looking for someone to do contract work for local council and police, i was like, woo cool. so i rang and hes like "yeh loads of council work bla bla bla"

im thinking great whereabouts, then the "just a £99 a year fee" that stopped me just like that, i just went dead...was like "hmm" and "ermmm"

and he asked if id like to check out their website i was like go on then

they keep ringing but i wont answer

£99 for something that isnt actually there and might be MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT

sod that, ive got enough work, i not gonna pay some random company telling me theyve got loads of work for me and then saying "oh actually there isnt actually any work at the momment but there could be and youll get it and all for £99"

no thanks
