Have you thought about going WFP, can be done from a car if you ain't got a van, I know it's more expensive but for those that have changed to WFP I'm sure they wouldn't go back :)

Hi yes i have thought about it, and it seems the way to go. But i want to make sure i can build up a round first before i make that kind of investment.

i started last august when i canvassed 15 bungalows by October i had 500 quids worth and a trolley system out the boot of my car.
i didn't and don't do ladders at all...my advice would be to stay part time while you build up your round and to get a trolley system they pay for themselves
secondly put your leaflets out then call back and door knock couple of days later.
thirdly i bought work and now12 months later have a cracking round .

Thanks for the feedback richardson, Just a bit wary about these trollys and back packs. Alot on this forum seem to think they are unable to carry enough pure water to do a lot of work. Iam still learning off this forum all the while. If i bought a trolly would i need a tank to at home to make the pure water. Iprobbaly sound a nieve but all this is new to me. Thanks for your comments.

Clean the back of my house this morning with applicator and squeegee, did not seem to turn out too bad. The front is leaded so just used mr muscle then rubbed with a scrim. Feel likei cheated though.  Do you think i would be able to continue like this?. Not done any door knocking yet, but am looking at some flyers. Still pretty serious window cleaning just need to get more practice. Thaks for all the advice.

Don't use Mr Muscle it is smeary and it leaves the glass waxy. Also its expensive if you are going to be using it all day.  Just use a drop of Squeegee Off in ordinary water from a spray bottle.

pikeman...re leaded windows.

part mop up leaded windows with your applicator ..then squeegge off go over them with a microfibre cloth the jobs a good one....ps when pricing leaded windows most folks charge 20% extra.
