Flowmaster prob on freedom trolley
« on: August 09, 2008, 12:46:48 pm »
When I switch on the pump it will only pump at max rate no matter what the setting on the dial.
I rang Adepta they thought it might be the power transfer pump, but wernt sure.
Has anyone got any ideas what to do?
Thanks,Ants.

You are best to speak to Andrew Mcann. He used to work for pure freedom and knows the systems inside out.

Firstly I have no idea what they mean by the "power transfer pump" it doesn't exist whatever it's supposed to be.

The best thing to do is to pop to a local garage and ask them to check the voltage coming from the battery to the Flowmaster. They will do this for you using a voltmeter. If the battery registers less than about 12.25 volts it's pretty flat. Another thging to try is to hook the flowmaster up to any 12v battery that you know is well charged and see what happens. Check that all the connections are good as well.

You haven't managed to cross polarise the leads to the battery at all have you?  If you have you need a new flowmaster.

Try the above and if nothing improves it's the flowmaster that needs replacing.

Andrew do purefreedom have any warranty on there systems, if so is this on all parts, as you know i had a 2 man set up done but at the mo only use one side, but i recently thought id use the other side, turned dial and nothing there, no green light and no pump sound.

Yes they do Chris.

12 months when I was there.

One thing to check on that dead flowmaster/pump Chris. There is a spade type fuse on the live leading from the battery to the flowmaster. 1 on each one. Have a look and see if it is still there/pushed in properly or blown. It's a 7.5 amp fuse if you need to get one. Halfords or any decent auto elec shop will have them in.

If that's not the prob give them a call to get it sorted out.

Thanks Andrew,Ive checked all the connections, there was only one a bit loose which has been corrected.
On close inspection I noticed a slight scorch mark inside the flowmaster case,so looks like I will be needing a replacement soon.
Do you sell them?
Thanks again for your help.
