Concrete path colouring on glass
« on: July 31, 2008, 07:46:47 pm »
One of my customers has just had a new path put round her house, its the moulded concrete type where they put a colour on before they mould the surface finish, some of the colouring has gone on to the glass and I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove it. I have used a scraper and this has removed some of it, but even though the glass now feels smooth there are still brown specs all over it.

If its anything like the fence stain I tried to remove, it could be very diffficult. Glass is absorbent and "sucks" the stain deep into the surface so that razors or wire wool do not get down to the sub layers. Similar to our problems with getting rid of silicon and polishes etc. Sorry to be negative. But good luck  8)

Try the spirits at the Corpy pub just round the corner to boots, supposed to be haunted. There is a condemed cell at the gaol that will give you an "experience" - its part of the tour.
