This is a tip that someone else put on here but cant remember who. If you suffer from sections sticking as I do with my emporium 40 ft'er. A couple of layers of insulating tape applied as a stop on each section stops them getting pushed together too tightly. i bought 6 rolls for a pound from my local pound shop and colour coded them. I used the pole at full height yesterday for a prolongued period and not one section stuck! a vast improvement on before and such a simple and effective solution, so thankyou whoever it was you've made my job so much easier  ;D
just thought I'd share that with anyone whos got the same problem

Useful tip cybersye - I use gaffer (Duck) tape on mine as I find it is more water resistant.

Same here.... Stays on longer than electrical tape......

I think you will find it was Electric that gave that tip........
