Aren't (some) folk brilliant
« on: July 23, 2008, 08:49:58 pm »
Been getting a little p'ed off with the job a bit. Too many little niggles, moany custies, rain, etc etc. Had a week away and came back to a customer backlog. Worked my little socks off since then and WOW. Enjoying it again. The break helped, but it's mainly to do with the customers. I've had so much thanks for doing the job they are paying me to do. Offers of tea, "are you coping with the price of fuel?", "is the price still the same?". It's restored my faith in humanity and the job ;D

I think it`s very important to have a couple of weeks away a year, having time off and stopping at home is not the same the phone still rings and it dosen`t feel as if you`ve got away from it all.

You're right about the phone. My mobile went up in smoke (not literally ;D) about an hour after we set off on holiday. Best thing ;)

agree with you 110%, have a few holidays a year, I tend to take short breaks and one main holiday now, I did not have one for 6 yerars when building up not good for mind or body

Feen,

Notice your location is the Scottish Borders, where exactly to you cover?

We get asked to do some window cleaning work in Berwick and along as far as Coldstream, but unless it's decent commercial work it's not worth it for us.

Back to the original thread, you'll find that the old Ying and Yang works everytime, just as you are feeling great some a#sehole will knock you right off track, or vise versa.
