I have worked with a ppm of 26 for 2 weeks once although i did use more water when rinsing and had no problems when i first got my ro from omnipole they told me anything under 15 ppm would be fine. I normally have my ppm at about 7 and never had any problems with it.paul

I would get onto my ro manufacturer though, if my tds is 45 after ro.My tap water is around 480ppm and 23 after ro. Going down to 7 after a couple of minutes of running. What ro units give a reading of 40 plus??
While this water is no longer pure, it does have a relatively low mineral content. In the UK with our usual south westerly winds, the total dissolved solids reading of this water is around 14 TDS, with the limit for spot free drying being 9 TDS or lower. (Some tap supplies will reach 500+ TDS)
