For us, it gets in the way of the hose.

Peter is referring to the Unger aluminium pole system I think.

The Unger poles do use the same system but there is also adapters that screw on the black threads already on most poles, to accept a metal angle joint.  Cleantech are one company I know who sells them.

You want to be able to pop your brush on the end of a pole for quickness, you don't want to be screwing your brush on and off, more time consuming and unnecessary.

The cleantech adapter is an all aluminium jobby, far superior to the Unger plastic one, the Unger ones get loose around the screw tread, the metal seems to corrode.

I was meaning the Unger pole not the adapter.  I wouldn't use the Unger angle joint either because of the plastic in them.  I only use the all aluminum ones as well.
