price new quotes quite high would be a good idea, maybe try selling off parts of your round?
Exactly!
I sold off a large bite of work last year, stuff we didn't like, and this year we've been leafletting affluent areas and taking on new work at much better prices.
When you're up to the 'gunnells' in work, it's awkward to make time to go quoting for stuff; so selling off/passing on/dropping stuff you don't like makes sense if you can use that spare time for make new and better work.
It's just a numbers game; there's plenty of work out there; you've just got to get it.
I'm targetting drive-between jobs, within a five-mile radius of where I live of £20 plus; and it's working out really well. I picked up a nice £35.00 one today.
