Hasn't there been some adverse postings about vista print on here in the past?

based on what some have experienced on here you should check that when ordering that you have unchecked any option to sign up for further offer as some have found that they have   had amounts setup to come out of their accounts

It’s not often I get fuelled up about something, but I am so annoyed that I am writing this review to warn others that they might need to check their bank accounts for money going out from an online site where they have ordered business cards for free.
My daughter has just qualified as a nail technician and beauty therapist and wanted to get some business cards done to bring in extra work, so she visited www.vistaprint.co.uk and ordered about 200 for free. Or so she thought, the business cards came and she only had to pay for the posted and was billed for £3.49 which she paid with using her debit card.

Today she has just called me into her room and showed me her bank account online and there has been a payment of £9.95 been taken out of her account every month by vprewards.com.
Apparently when you order your free business cards you are agreeing to be signed up to vprewards which is free for the first 30 days then a monthly amount of £9.95 will be taken from your bank account.
I don’t know what you get for your £9.95 a month and I can probably say that most people don’t even realise that this is in the small print or terms and conditions as many people and teenagers don’t read the small print. Thinking that the business cards are free and don’t give it another thought.

My daughter tried to log onto the site to cancel the bank debits but didn’t have a password as she wasn’t sent a sign up email they just joined her and took the money out of her bank and she was wondering why she was getting into overdrawn and being charged bank charges as she thought she had enough money in her account.
Although this isn‘t illegal for the site to do this, as it is in the terms and conditions, she wasn’t sent any emails to let her know she had been signed up or that her 30 day trial was running out.
I think it should make anyone buying the business cards aware by email or letter that they have agreed to sign up to vprewards.com with a subscription of £9.95 per month after 30 days trial, and that you don‘t get anything for your £9.95.
If like my daughter you have ordered business cards from www.vistaprint.co.uk for just the price of the postage or so you think, then please check you account details and bank statements as you may be getting charged the £9.95 a month without realising.

I am disgusted with this site and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I also got involved with there awful idea of having an obscure box that you must "untick" before proceeding and had money taken from my account, after phoning them direct (i got the number from google by typing scams, i think) i got my money back immediately, now i am just really careful when ordering, I do think there service (apart from that one) is great and reliable especially the prices and ive used them numerous times since, but a direct phone line would be good.

::) You just need to read everything!

The supermarkets used to do the same "sweets by the check-out"

Remember Open all Hours  "when there in there in and they are mine... have some ginger cake..." Arkright

I've had some good stuff of them!  8)

I ticked/unticked that box...
They charged me...
I complained/canceled...
I got my money back...

I still use them, and happy with their stuff.. (and the daily offers !  :-\ )

Cheap is not always good, and advertising them on back of business cards just says I go cheap. Says alot IMO

I've not had a problem with Vistaprint either but you do need to read it carefully when ticking boxes as others have said.
As for the bombardment of emails mentioned in the quoted post, you can restrict this and I now only get a couple per week.  I think you need to go into your account settings and alter the email settings to do this.

Can't complain about Vistaprint.

Had some good value cards and a pair of magnetic signs for my van.

Great VFM IMO.  :)
Cheers,

I think you are on about the "free" ones simon, they do have there name on the back (vistaprint) but for someone on a low budget or just starting out, they are ideal.
