Closing windows with an SL2

If you were using an SL2 pole at any height would you be able to close an open window by taping the window closed like you can with a normal telescopic pole?

You can sometimes, but obviously you have to be careful.
Ordinary windows are not much of a problem, but sash windows are a right pain >:(

I can cope fine with a normal window being open, even when you can't nudge them shut you can still clean them, but with sash windows you gotta be soooo careful!

Last summer I was doing a 3 storey office in our town centre, they have modern, aluminium windows that are sash style in the way they open.
No one ever leaves a window open...well they never did in the past :o Deep window sills and its very early in the morning, couldn't see the lower pane...cleaned top pane, dropped to lower pane and brush disappears from sight :o Then you panic trying to whip the blasted thing out of the window and of course the brush gets stuck, eventually the brain cuts in and you cut the water flow :-\
I have absolutely no idea where the water went or what I soaked, I just prayed that whatever got wet dried out before the office staff got in later...it must have been ok cos no one ever said anything!
I check very carefully now that windows are shut, or if they are open I try not to clean a window pane that isn't there!

It is possible to close standard windows with an SL but care does need to be exercised if they are stiff.  It would be best to gently swing the pole against the window allowing the brush to hit the frame and push the window shut in increments rather than just attempting to push the window shut.

I wouldn't use any more pressure than you normally clean with.

Realistically, with any modular  c/f if the windows stiff you cannot close it. Top hung ones wont move much paticulary with pvc (you need a good gooseneck/elbow joint to get a decent angle instead and may have to bring the pole down and change the angle) and lobsided sashes if they wont go first time I give up.

With this pole closing windows at the sides can be closed but it has to be done gradually when trying to clean it,if it`s say a left hand window start brushing the edge of the frame on the right hand side and you`ll find it will start to close. With the top openers if there wide open forget it but if there like the side one as descibed brush the bottom of the frame of it and see if it starts to go shut, these poles will snap if you push to hard unlike the facelift or similar as the slight extra weight of the pole helps.
