web sites/leaflets and pictures
« on: May 15, 2008, 07:32:51 pm »
I have just read a post about leaflets and website (something I do)

using other photo's is a little same old same old, marketing and this is what it is has to be different to catch people eyes.

Photo's play a very very large part in this get it wrong and it will cost you.

every one must have heard this saying:

"Pictures speak louder than words"

Discount I started this post because I read a reply you made, the pics I took that won a comp (cheers alex for the pole) Is one of the properties that we clean
I had permission from the owner to use them (I did ask first) but only for the comp and my new site thats being designed.

my advice would be to take hundreds of pics different positions etc and then pick the top 20 do this again till you have the best you have and use them.

I wonder if anyone else will make any comments on this topic.

i use a decent camera phone and snap away at any given time, i have had some really interesting images that i have used in my advertising packs.

I'm with Ian that an image does speak a thousand words, just make sure they are 1000 positive words though ;D ;)

Ian your advice about taking hundreds of photographs is correct. It’s what all the top photographers do.

What you are trying to get is not just a nice composed picture, but something that is punchy. This is the difference between a very good picture and something that is composed well.

Ewan  ;D
Thanks for that, I am no photographer at all if im honest, I just interested in  marketing and have an eye for it, not sure if you know that, so I thought I would say.

Our minds think in pictures not words, prove me wrong and I'll eat my hat.
Pictures are the best form of advertising.
