How about Bamboo?

Its light quite rigid cheap!

Think we can use it?

The chinese made it grow through anything!  So it must be tough?

Its been posted before over the years. Why not its just a brush on a stick if thats the green way you want to go. But not very high ?

I think it would easily snap!  H & S would reject it before it got off the drawing board.

1st there was aluminium....so light!

2nd there was glass fibre...even lighter!

3rd there was carbon fibre..lighter still...yet more rigid!

4th...............................................................................?

4th is Graphite,mega expensive but by far the best material.

I have seriously looked at bamboo and it's possibilities. It is the lack of uniformity that causes problems in manufacture. :(
