I use a 21ft x-tel as my everyday pole and it's great.

I always try to use a bit of each section rather than just the top 2, as the pole will be much more rigid.

also I would advise that you don't use any section fully extended over coservatory roofs etc as the ends of the sections can start to crack under excess stress.

I wouldn't cut it down cos those extra 3 ft are really useful at times

What poles would you recommend besides the slx and sl2 as ive got 27 & 30foot hybrid xtels unger green and am thinking of getting rid of them and getting something different,
The pole is the most important thing next to 000 on the meter,it`s an extension of you arms. You will only get what you pay for with poles there are no short cuts or quick fixes,it`s not the same with all products but with poles the price reflects the quality.Carbon quality also varies from company to company,in the van i would have 1xSl2 1xSLX or 1x24ft carbon facelift,i have all these poles but now only use the first 2 on a regular basis.

Spot on, agree 100%.
