« on: May 10, 2008, 07:43:38 pm »
I got a mini bore hose with ez snap connectors on and went o a job today with mate who uses normal hose with hozelock connectors, we both had our vans with us but the problem was I couldnt us my poles with his system and vice versa so was looking into making 2 adapters so this doesnt happen again, like the gardners one. (pics below) i have all the parts as had bought seperate from gardners but theres a bit on each pic that im unsure what it is so help please, if not ill purchase from gardners monday.

The white bit on the first photo is a 3/4" screw to 6mm nylon fitting. We only sell them as part of the complete connector:

www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Hose_barb_to_screw_thread_adapters__tank_fittings.html

Second item up from the bottom of page.

The part in the second photo is a 6mm to 1/2" inline bore adapter, first item on this page:

I broke my hose, so i'm going to have to order some soon. Did you abandon the idea of thermobore?

An alternative to pic A, I dunno about minibore but my microbore fits perfectly inside a standard hose, a bit of araldite & a jubilee clip & job done. The araldite is probably overkill though.

James Smith,
Brilliant. we always overlook the obvious. I'll have a try with mini.

Tried it with minibore and it works. That's whats good about this forum, because this would never have occured to me. (and me with all my brains)

While i was out there a clamp needed aralditing, and also implemenmted a suggestion from wayne (I think, but don't worry i'll say it was my idea next time I mention it) to stop poles spinning- to hammerite paint the last six inches before the clamps.
I used gold and did the spikes on my gates at the same time.
