You can do away with the switch with the new Eco-flow.

I just bought it but don't know if it's the new or old - how do I tell ?

Look on Cleantecs website and it says
Eco Flow Controller £75.00
Similar in operation to the varistream controller, Requires Pressure switch on the pump (fitted as standard to the pumps we supply unless specified)

The new 1 has a button on the side of it,th chances are it`s the new 1.You have to set it up with the type of hose your using like the varistream.
