I did a google search for "plastic containers" and found a firm that do recycled ones for £1, might have been the same co Dougie mentions.  I get mine for nowt off a farmer customer of mine, they get the cleaning fluid for the milking machines in them, but they are non-returnable and they aren't allowed to burn them.Last time I was there he looked @ the trolley system and told me he could get me any amount of them, so try your local dairy farm, they may be glad to get rid of some.
Cheers Rich

Ecover sell cleaning products to retailers in 20-25lt tubs.
These are then dumped
Look out for a local one, get them for nothing!
need a rinse obviously!

Just a tip with these barrels, you may already know though:

I used to hate pouring them as they chugged out for ages before they would pour smoothly, and it would spill everywhere..

However, if you pour out sideways, it pours a lot more smoothly, therefore more quickly. 8) 8)

another way is to cut a hole and put a cork in whilst not in use, when you tip take out the cork and the gulging will stop, it is because the air rinses inside and the only way out is through the hole your are pouring out of with 2 holes air goes out of the second hole.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I phoned dvfuels £110.94 for a pallet of 64 25litre containers delivered.

The pallet costs £40.54 and then it's £1.10 per container upto 64. I don't need 64 and it's a shame not to take advantage of £1.10 a container.

Is there anyone around my area (Slough) that wants to chip in for 64 and we can split them?

Arthur
