2nd Pump Costs
« on: May 07, 2008, 08:53:39 pm »
look I dont mind paying for a good quality products that also come with great customer service, BUT when I asked how much to fit a second pump (so me and a lad can work together) to my system (a well known brand - you know the one not gonna mentiion any names but heres a clue...Ironic) to include a vairflow switch, battery and split router to charge when driving plus 4 hours work at £45ph I was quoted £700!!! so that £520 just for the 'equipment'...

the question is not could this be done cheaper DIY, but is this a fair price?

hang on, lets work it out. On ebay is a pump for £73 odd plus postage and a variflow for £75 plus postage. Aleisure battery (100 a/h ) £ 65 (euro car parts ), and a split charge relay £35 plus postage on ebay. Now I'm just an amateur at this but workiing out my maths thats £250.00, plus a bit. Are you sure you haven't got the five and two round the wrong way

yes isnt it Ironic...

An old man turned ninety-eight
He got a wfp and died the next day
It's a black fly in your filter-ay
It's a customer complaining two minutes too late
Isn't it ionic ... don't you think
Chorus

It's like rain on your working day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures

Mr. ladders was afraid to try
He packed his ladders and kissed his income good-bye
He waited his whole damn life to take this contract
And as the ladders crashed down he thought
'Well isn't this nice...'
And isn't it ionic ... don't you think
Repeat Chorus

Well filter costs have a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and your pump blows up
In your face

It's a traffic jam when you're already late
It's a wet floor sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand scrims when all you need is a blade
It's meeting the customer of my dreams
And then meeting his H&S officer wife
And isn't it ionic... don't you think
A little too ionic... and yeah I really do think...
Repeat Chorus

filter costs has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out
