Contract work or domestic cash work?
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:32:37 pm »
I have been cleaning windows for over 10 years now and have built up a decent round of domestic cash work.

Recently I have started to pick up alot of contract work and im struggling to keep up with my cash work. I currently have 2 employees.

The good thing about the cash work is that the money is there almost immediatley where as obviously there is a serious wait for the dosh with the contract work but on the other hand it is better paid. The problem that I have at the moment is paying my workers whilst waiting for the bank balance to rise.

Anyone on here ever had a similar problem?

Thanks in advance.

Dean.

we have a good mix of domestic and commercial, to be fair we never really had a problem with commercial cash-flow - a good thing to have is a 30/60 day payment scheme where you offer a % reduction if they pay before the 30/60 days are up.  We have found this very good as we tend to get paid that bit sooner.

domestic is great for cash flow though.
I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!
