Broken window, it wasn't me!!
« on: April 28, 2008, 06:37:03 pm »
Cleaned one of my longstanding customers windows last month and i went back today (a month later) as usual, as i pulled up he came out ranting that i had broken one of his conservatory windows.
I went and had a look and it turns out to be the internal pain of a sealed double glazed unit!!! he carries onto to say i must have caught it with my point(yeah whatever i have been cleaning for 5 years and only broken a flowerpot)!!
This guy is trying it on and demanding i cough up on my insurance if i had done it i would pay, some people take the mick!!!

Carmly say, if in the future please can you report it within 48 hours of cleraning because after this time we cannot fix the problem. I am aware ytou are annoyed but this problem was not on my making and if I was to give you my insurance details they will tie it up in court and you would end up paying the bill.

I am guessing he cancelled his window cleaning with you  :-X

You are so right some people just try it on.

I have done this chaps house for a couple of years now, i basically walked away from his accusations before he got the good news, i am mild mannered normally but he was saying i broke an inside pain!!!!!!!how stupid is that!!
He has not cancelled and would like me to continue, i havent decided what to do yet and i don't want to damage my good reputation by him gossiping!!

Not being funny but I would drop him like a hot potato. He doesn't deserve a professional, reliable window cleaner if he's going to treat you like that.

Replace him if you can afford to. You don't need the hassle. Every month you will have this in the back of your mind.I like a nice simple life.

I had someone trying it on the other month with me saying i had wet the insides of her windows with wfp and wet all the plaster.

when i went to look a few days after it was clearly coming from the celing not the window  ::) must have been gallons of water that made these stains not wfp! and also she said no bathroom is not above here! but i new it was so she was lying!! obv had some bathroom lead or something.

so went on to say i wil get someone to look at at and put it in writing!! well i havent heard a thing!!! just trying it on really anoys me!

so now im very tempted to send the bill of cleaning the windows the time taken to have a look at the fault that she accused me of doing! and telephone calls between the customer....... :-\
