He'll probably force water through or at least damage all of the window seals too.

That'll learn the clever clogs. ;)

If it leaves the windows spotted it could be difficult to remove = at least double the cost when you take em back on for the first clean.
It may also involve getting on a ladder and some serious elbow grease as I've found that pure water doesn't remove lime scale which is what those white spots will more than likely be. At least they would be in my area.

I did a first clean a few weeks ago on a house where someone had tried to use a pressure washer. I had to do every window with Cillit Bang to get the white spots of limescale off the glass.

I have a waiting list and I make sure the customers know it. Its the most wonderful thing that has happened to me as a window cleaner.

The customers see me in a new light, no longer "Oh its just Vince the window cleaner."

They don't mess me about because they know that I can pick and choose and whats more "I ain't Bovvered !"

Sacking you by text is just a lack of respect. It probably not the whole story though. Some household bills have gone up by 25% and everybody is feeling the pinch

The text bit is bad, but makes me think they couldn't face "saying" it. At least they didn't wait till you turned up next time and turned you away.
Household bills are a good point and some people will not want to admit to being short of money etc etc, and afterall window cleaning is on the "luxury" service list if you are a customer and the "necessary" service list if you are a window cleaner ;) ;D

yes i was concerned bout the text.if theyd told me 2 my face id have said "fair enough".just seemed bit odd.u loose 1 u pick another up.its no hardship.i had one customer a while back who sent her 7yr old daughter out 2 tell me that her mummy doesnt want her windows cleaning anymore.i wasnt bothered bout the windows just the fact they couldnt tell me 2 my face.
