ro man booster prssure?
« on: April 18, 2008, 08:48:53 am »
hi guys just upgraded my ro man 200gpd to a 300gpd and iv not noticed a lot of difference in production.
I have there booster pump as well and just thought if that needs adjusting as its about 65psi at the moment?

allso its on a timer to turn off every 3hours for 15min to cool as this is what they advised me to do.

dose anyone know what is the max pressure you can run the RO at?and dose it make a difference that the pump is befor the pre filters?

thanks joe

I have the ro man 200  using there booster pump. i have set the pump to about 95 psi  (not sure if recommended as pump info states output at 50 - 80 psi)   ro man says there systems are tested to 100psi. Using this pressure i have found that my  TDS is about 360 in and my out before DI is 001. The only draw back is that the higher the pressure the lower the output flow rate.

Ro man recommends pump before pre filters.

I did not know about the timer being required, but it states in the instructions that the pump is for "house hold Ro's only" so i don't expect they would normally run for very long for household use.

We have run RO-man systems consistently at 110 psi and they perform very well.  If you can't get your booster pump to work properly you could try a 100 psi Shurflo pump. This would definitely give you enough pressure.
