Been using the bar of soap instead of defoamer. It works better in my opinion.

Also, regularly use 50ft of hose. Removed straps binding solution to vac hose they came with. So much easier to work with and wind up. Less worry about damage to laminates. Perhaps everyone knows this already.

Different kind of tip - was given 50 Euros as a tip the other day because the guy had just returned from a business trip. Quickly exchanged for 36 quid.

Why exchange it? :)

Keep it in euros for your next trip to Euroland; unless, of course, your holidays take you to more exotic places.

Best .

How long does the bar of soap last?
Overall wouldn't a good handful of table salt do the same and be cheaper?

Cheap liquid soap, couple of pumps into recovery tank works great. Cheapest defoamer you can get.

Thick brown parcel tape is great for furniture sliding.

Not going to happen unless I leave the missus with her two cats and two dogs.

Depends on how hot your recovery water is, but it does seem to be lasting. The thing is, you just put it in and forget about it, and dont have lug about defoamer. In terms of cost it doesn't have to Moulton Brown!

In the recovery tank. The added advantage on my machine is that it slows down the deluge when emptying and pops out itself to remind you to put another in!

I shall be getting some tape then! Thanks
