The official poles will be shipping later this week apparantly, I'm sure that if people have the pole, they will be pre production poles, that might not necessarily mirror the final product (probably will, but still), especially since in the other thread they will receive the official production run tomorrow, allow for packaging time etc, and that will be friday when they'll send em out. :)

Well I thought Alex was the only one who had used them so far and he's hardly going to say that they're rubbish   ;D

well kirsty recommended the slx after i told her i wanted something really light, really rigid and good for use on domestic work.

But do you think the sl 2 would be a good choice as i am getting fed up of coming home exhausted

I dont need a pole over 25 foot though

I would say hang on for SL-X as well as DJW.
SL2 is modular and would be trickier to use for domestic.  SL-X is telescopic and would probably be ideal.

Or make a light modular for £18 Zensorflex carp pole, or carbon Ron Thompson Gangsta carp pole about £60.  ;)

Might sound dumb, But whats the diffrence between modular and telescopic?

Modular is what the SL2 is, just tubes that push together and are of fixed length whereas the telescopic poles slide inside each other and can be adjusted to any position within their range. What are you using now?

Just snapped the end off of yet another tucker pole so i was in a fix and needed something quick and but a 20 foot glass fibre ergo lite from ionics but its not right for my domestic work.

X-tel hybrids get good reports on here for a light domestic pole but the SL-X looks like being the one to beat. I've been using an X-tel 21' glass pole and the weight isn't bad but it bends like a boomerang when extended.

Currently the only two SL-X poles that are in use are in one of our work vehicles. There are about 8 window cleaners that have worked with them over the last 10 months and their feedback has been very useful.

We hope to take delivery of the first batch of official poles tomorrow afternoon (courier dependent!), hopefully by Monday of next week there will be a whole heap of clients who have been able to use them and will then be able to give you their opinion.

As regards the SL-2, I would not recommend it for domestic work, purely due to its modular design. Having said that there are several of our clients and many on this forum who use this type of pole on domestic work all of the time because of its low weight.
