Looking for three way tap ...
« on: April 14, 2008, 01:44:02 pm »
fitted to 1/2 inch JG pipe which will split off to DI and other connection to waste.  In effect I want to have a tap fitted to check TDS before DI and after RO.  At the moment I keep having to unscrew DI connection and test straight from RO but wouldlike a tap so all I need to do is turn on one pipe and turn off DI pipe.

Anyone use this type of three way tap to do this and if so where can IO find one????

Thanks

Andrew

You could use an inline TDS meter. Using these.

inline tds meters seem to go wrong alot do they not ?

I do not have one but from what I keep reading they seem unreliable source to check waters tds.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Never had a problem with mine Ian. I used to have it in the van but now have it set up in the shed with RO.

I think it's been mentioned they are not as accurate as hand held. I've noticed no difference I have both. If they are supposed to be inaccurate then I would imagine you are only talking +1 -1 either side so not that crucial I would have thought. Had mine 12 months no probs still same battery.

All the advice I'v had re TDS is avoid in line meters as they can be inaccuate.  I'm staying with hand held but will get a tap connection to test pre DI TDS.  Just got to find right connections for 1/2 inch hose with JG fittings
