For a year at that reading 50ltrs would last you a year ie 1 change after 10-11 mnths, that reading at out RO your membrane should last. You can get the waste down to 20% with fine tuning.

The should resin will last that long easy.  The 20 inch filters are about £35 - £40 for the both.  If your producing that much water and earning the money coming from it then replacing them every 3 months should not be a problem.  The whole thing works better for longer if cared for.  Hence maybe a good idea for the water softener.

At 3-4ppm i wouldn`t bother with another DI you won`t need it.

::) pure water is 000.
3/4 is not make the water right you dont have a problem with the water.

I am not knocking you if you do this, but myself it will always be 000, anything else is not good enough, I'm funny like that.

same as trad top job or money back

I really think you should spend a little extra - get the twin 4040, one of the booster pumps I recommended and 20" prefilters.  Get the lot from June @ Gapswater in a deal.

You really don't want an auto flush - the quarter turn valve included with the RO does the same job.

Single RO will still produce all the water you will ever want though, even if you do go for single ro it should last 5 years or so if well maintained.

lol.

the reason i want auto flush is apart from changing filters every 3 months, i dont want daily weekly maintenance stuff, i want to pump the water to my van and subsquent vans, and it starts making the water when it get below 1000l stops the ibc is full, flush when it is supposed to automatically, i dont want to flush each time i fill, this would be an absolute pain,

but if i can flush all the time at a quarter turn? this sounds good,

alan what pump the one you recommended or one you have?

if you want to spend loads of money then buy what I have.

Grundfos £465

If you want something a bit cheaper then either of the ones I recommended will be fine.  The big plus with the Grundfos is build quality (second to none - ensuring reliability) and the fact that even at 90psi or so it still pumps about 15lpm, something that the cheaper pumps wont do.

I ran the twin ro today @ 100psi for 2hrs and made almost 1000ltrs of pure with about 50/50 pure/waste.

With a less gutsy pump I doubt it would have made 600ltrs in that time.

impressive, i have no idea what our current tap pressure is, i know it is pretty good, it must be at least 50-60, but i want to be able to pump it through the 4040 at least 90.

i would like a twin ro but just for the RO its £950 always room to upgrade though.

with the RO on constant flush what waste ratio etc etc will this achieve,
