price up help with pics
« on: March 18, 2008, 06:42:03 pm »
hi guys i'm having difficult pricing a job up i've no photo's but there is 108 windows 36 per floor, there all aluminium sash windows and the job goes as follows.
1st floor 36 windows really dirty road dirt on the outside damp on the inside really grubby the same goes for the 3rd floor.

2nd floor is not bad just dust and of course road dirt on the outside's but as they are all aluminium the dirt is caked on inside and out, The outside will have to be done with a cherry picker which will be on site.

They want all windows cleaned inside and out 1st of all then a regular clean once a month.

How long do you think it will take me to do?
and how much would you charge ?
All help with this greatly received.

can you not get pics ? then maybe we could say a rough price, there are loads of things that can make the price go higher, and I am guessing this is why no other person has posted a reply.

Listen to Window washers!!
I would help if I saw photos but its impossible to give you a good quote with just your verbal descriptions.  I have made mistakes in the past quoting over the phone and this is exactly the same

007 or what, estimate how many hours it will take and multiply by what you want to earn per hour/ what you think you can get.

Thats the best I can do without seeing a few photo's.

£1 per window 1st/2nd floor £2 per window 3rd floor then insides £1.50 per window as a rough guide
As you will be there for a long time and wont have set up and pack away time to add then you could maybe go a little cheaper
Also first clean will take longer so price that accordingly +50%/100%

007- there are about 100 panes in the picture so if the same on the other side and say 30 on each side (presuming) I would pitch it in at £350 approx.
Nice job to get so you can drop other poorer paying jobs.
Or go in lower if you really want the job on your books wow them , then put up after 3-4 months when they are  happy with you
Thanks Robbie

Fellas,

Not them prices with access equipment involved, which I'm sure was mentioned.

Windows are quite dirty so I would bear that in mind for first clean will have to be done either very well or a number of times. Outside there is only about 3 hours work once you are doing it regularly.

I would price that at about €500 for the first clean inside and out (two men for most of a day). Thats about £350 i think and at about £150 per month for the outside based on a regular monthly deal. Same on the inside £ 150.

If you think you can get more go for it.

I would charge higher for the first clean as i reckon it will take twice as long as i reckon those frame will be oxidised.
