wow didn't think I'd get any probs with a merc!

I'm still tempted though - 205bhp, I'd be able to get round work a bit quicker! ;D ;D

legally of course!! 8)

If your buying from new who cares it`s covered for 3 years, people that normally have trouble are buying them after they`ve had a good thrashing.

If i had the money, that would be my next van! My mate has had one for 5 months, has one in black, goes like, well you know the saying. Will set you back £25,000 plus the VAT, worth the money IMO.

It may well be cheaper to drive sensibly then work fast when you get there.  ::)

Best van I've ever driven & I've driven most. Service second to none. I drove in with a small problem & I drive out an hour later all fixed - no charge. My service cost less than one I had with opel on a small van.

I have seen several of those sporty (!) Transits around and they look great. In my opinion they look a lot better than the Mercedes. How much are they?

There is also the Sportline VW Transporter, which according to sources is great, but does not make a great buy financially and cannot always be specified as well as the standard van. However 'Swiss Van Sales' do a VW Sportline look-a-like that is better value and better specified.

cant see the point personally. Firstly, what do you want people to look at the livery on the side of the van or the van. Secondly, when you hit another vehicle whether its got 205bhp or not , they all bend the same. And thirdly, housing/industrial estates are mainly 30mph, so whats the point in 205bhp. I go from house to house so 0-60 in whatever second really dont matter. Why not buy the cheaper ooption and get aftermarket wheels and spoiler, cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure

007 or what

I have a Vito, it is a good van, BUT when it goes wrong it does cost big £'s for parts - 47 quid for a window wiper blade because the sprayer is built in - or it was until I cut it off and stuck it to a Halfords cheapy.
£650 last year for 2 new injectors, £750 for a complete new exhaust (the original did last 160k miles though), and it also eats wheel bearings.

Alex G - I already have a VW Transporter T30 174BHP - super van, love it.  Financial sense?  Well maybe not but I spend 5 days a week in or next to it so I want something nice.

I took a test drive in the new Vito today - hilarious!  Really considering it now although its not anyway near as well built as the transporter and my son has informed me that there's a revised transporter coming soon with even more oomph.

Steve M - I can see your point but can you see mine - we can afford it, its not going to stretch the finances so why not?  I have an Audi RS6 when I could have bought a Corsa.
