I'm no expert but somehow the statement ''we will supply the best clean your furnishings will have ever had'' does not sound right. You should check up on the proper grammer before going to print.
Also the word ''SCOTCHGUARD'' as you call it should it not read'' SCOTCHGARD''without the U. But then if you are using some protector other than Scotchgard better be careful what you call it.

Sorry Ian I took it down, more than enough constructive (and unconstructive) comments for the time being  ;)

By the way PaulKing I am a little confused....

Was the 'thank you' post for taking the image off or was it for the job I got you last August in Morpeth?

Thanks

John

John .......... worse thing in the world when you ask such a wide audience for opinions as someone will always dislike something  :o

Water background says clean without even being noticeable sometimes ............ van near me is totally wrapped and is green water droplets and looks great  (like background in picture)......... hope he wont notice if i copy  ::)

Thanks Chris, nice intelligent response there I appreciate your thoughts.

Im re-designing it now, wont take too long. Will put my pic in it and change the background to a much lighter water image, darken the text and change some of the info.

I dont think Ill post it up again tho. Will keep it to myself

Thanks to everyone who gave me sensible replies I appreciate it

You asked for opinions which you got,you have to take the rough with the smooth, you stole an image from someone's website who comes on the forum what did you expect?

Maybe if you had asked permission first but then the picture is from someone's site who works in the same area so not really acceptable?

If you took offence because I said you need to back up your claim "award winning" customers think in the same way it will only take one to ask.

Chris's idea with the water droplets is an excellent idea just make sure the pic is not subject to copyright or contact dp print they may be able to help?

I criticised your leaflet, so to be fair here's the one I was using until xmas ( only the front there's another photo on the back with some testimonial from some local companies)

a leaflet doesn't have to set the world on fire just be readable and presentable.

1. I didn't 'steal' as you put it from Paul king's site. I have seen that picture on a few other sites and even on a flyer that came through my door so I didn't knowingly steal from anyone. I had it on my hard disk for ages and to be honest I think someone sent me it.

2. I was not having a go at you for the award winning comments. I thought your comments were very fair and useful so don't assume it was you.

But whatever you do dont openly put on a public forum that I have stole anything because that is just not true. There is no harm done, the pic will not appear on any of my literature. End of story

Have a nice day!

John
