Shopping list
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:24:30 am »
Right guys as you know I'm just about to start cc, done the Prochem hard floor and 2 day cc course and the wife and i did the upholstery course. I'm ordering the Prochem powermax and the Prochem Galaxy tomorrow from olympic cleaning  The reason for both machines is that the wife wants to concentrate on the upholstery and the powermax will be to heavy for her. So its all the other little bits and bobs i need, I'm aiming for domestic at the moment, and don't want to waste money buying things i wont use. So I'm asking for your help, i do understand that a few guys get a bit funny with new guys setting up in there area, but i want to be as professional as possible, and not charge ridiculously low rates, as i will be running this alongside my tiling buisness, so not total dependant on it, and if i get any jobs to big for me or I'm really not sure about i will pass them on. So guys with all your really helpful knowledge and experience I'm asking for a little help. Thanks Sherco

Sherco,

A few obvious things

Pump sprayers 6-10 litre (plastic ones are fine) get two.
1 litre hand pump sprayer (for applying pre-treats to upholstery)
Carpet rake/groom
Agiattion tools. Cheaply would be using pile brushes (get one of these at least and keep clean for applying carpet protectors) and hand brushes (inc a couple oftampico brushes) more cost and you could invest in envirodri or sebo duo
Buckets (make sure they are robust and easy to poor)

I'm sure others will add to this list

Hi Sherco

Are you coming to the CCDO where I am doing a talk on stain removal using readily available chemicals.

When looking at 'failed'CC's who are selling off their equipment and chemicals I am often amazed at all the different chemicals they have been persuaded to buy, you do not need 500 Pounds worth  ;)

Cheers

Doug

Sherco, if your going to the ccdo then some of the guys are selling off some bits and pieces that you may want, but the biggest and best thing will be the tips from the guys on the night before and during the day that will be invaluable :) ;)
