« on: March 01, 2008, 08:50:02 am »
Had a women the other day asked whilst i was out
W “do you clean conservatory roofs”
M “yes would you like a quote”
I look at it and it’s really bad, completely green
M “no problems I can do that it will be £???
W “wow that’s a lot .... can you do a quick cheap job”
M “madam.. i don’t do quick cheap jobs...if you want it done properly that’s the price
W “ is there no way you could do a quick cheap job”
M “would you like me to clean every other glass panel for you leaving 50% of it clean and 50% of it green because if so that would reduce the price by 50% and be quicker
W “of course not because the job would not be done properly
M “ EXACTLY !!!
W ummm
M “ madam... if your top hose were to go on your car would you then take it to your reputable dealership and ask them to do a quick cheap repair job” maybe suggest they put some sticky tape around the hose.
W “ no i would want it repaired properly
M “then i rest my case..... goodbye and have a nice quick cheap day ;D

My friend Jeff was the manager of a tyre and exhaust garage. You wouldn't believe how many people came in asking him to try and bodge their cars up to avoid the cost of a new exhaust. And people would argue with him all the time when he said a tyre needed replacing because it was worn out or dangerous.

The tyre manufactures didn't help by putting the ridges inside the tyre wall to prevent you putting a tube in when there is very little actually wrong with the tyre. Some problems are supposedly fixable on tubeless but I havn't managed to present one to quick fit that didn't require a new tyre yet!
