What to put on poster
« on: February 20, 2008, 07:54:19 pm »
We are putting a poster in the local post office - the ones you look at as you wait.

Anyone used these before ?

What would you put on them.  The guy reckoned you onlywanted a couple of points or it gets too crowded.

We've got :

Fast drying times and/or

Fully trained and insured and/or

Based locally and/or

Environmentally friendly products used (not sure how to word this)

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Cheers

Simon

Do you have to pay to advertise here?  Put some loose flyers on it for people to put in there pocket.

Cheers Geoff - even I managed that one  ;D

Dave yes you pay approx 300 for the year and that includes the artowrk which I reckons got be worth around quarter of that - plus 20 to add box with cards / leaflets for people to take.

The guy running it claims to have 75% repeat business - if true then it means something must work there

go into the post office and look where it will be positioned and how long the queues are, the last time I went to the post office i was waiting for over 5 minutes I ended up reading a leaflet on passport application because I was bored.

I would use a bold question to grab the persons attention;  maybe something like this;
WHO DIRTIES THE CARPETS IN YOUR HOME?

a clumsy child with their fruit juice?
hubby with  his morning coffee?
your pet dog after their morning walk?
or Auntie Mabel with her weekly sherry?

DONT WORRY WE HAVE THE ANSWER!!

call us today we'll clean your carpet & upholstery and you can claim your free bottle of advanced stain remover.

Simon I will be interested in how this goes for you.I have been asked a few times to do this and have refused because I dont think it will get any business.
So if you would give us an up date every few months to let us know.
