I was told by a sign writer quite recently, use the blunt razors from your window blades, and clean off with sign writers removal fluid after. I've used acetone, but don't get it on plastic or window rubber.

Remember to heat them first with a hot air gun or failing that the wife's hairdryer if you're going to peel them off. Bodyshops now tend to buff them off with a rotary pad

Best of Luck!

Just use your old window scraper blade.
