What happens to pure water if it comes in contact with a metal?

probly depends on the metal.. i read that you dont want to use copper pipes after its been purified,dont know how true that is tho...possible that it absorbs trace elements

sorry mate thought there was a joke in it .  how do you mean when it comes into contact with metal  ?  you can clean cars with it and get a good result these are metal mate . if you was maybe to get a metal container and put some pure in then tds read it you would then no . if it was left in for some time it would probally rust so that would efect purity thats about best i can say on it mate .

Not recommended to store de-ionised water in copper.

I tell you what happens you get spots spots and more spots,stay away form ali frames with the pole your asking for trouble,and spots.

Deionised water will absorb ions from most metals, stainless steel is the best metal to use in any fittings that come into direct contact. It will even absorb ions out of glass given time. I have just had to change a cone adapter[ the part that screws into the brush] because the metal had been eaten away. Dai

i was going to say that too keep away from the terable ali frames what a nightmare i leared the hard way. never again ;)
