Battery.
« on: February 14, 2008, 08:29:02 pm »
Looking to buy a leisure battery.
Been using a big car battery till now but the leisure battery seems the best way to go.    Been to a local caravan supplies shop and they had a range of batteries and I'm not too sure as to which one to go for.
Any advice please as to amps, price etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi Ant, just buy the biggest and best you can afford (up to 130Ah)

have a look on the link below, these are what we use, fantastic and cannot fault them at all - never let us down and one is still going 4 years later.

ours are the 130Ah but if you are on your own then the 85Ah is more than man enough.  Alternatively the deep cycle on the second link would be fine

I have a 110a battery and one of these

its a fantastic little charger, shop around for a good price, got mine for £45, does all types of battery and will trickle charge afterwards
