Faux leather 2 seater
« on: January 28, 2008, 01:39:59 pm »
Hi folks had a call today regardig cat urine and possibly cat spray on a light faux suede 2 seater sofa.
Told custy if it`s real suede that i won`t be able to clean it for him. What are my chances of getting at least the smell out using lemon refresh, custy has told me he tried to steam out the smell and the yellow stain ! told him that by using the steam he has set the stain into the fabric and chances are i won`t be able to make that much improvement  >:( but said i should be able to help with the smell charging £80.00 for my efforts

I had one but not on Faux leather where a large ferrel cat emptied its bladder  on a chair in the lounge.

I managed to remove smell with usual odur nutralizers  urine nutrilizer  The most thorough cleaning ever etc

Not sure wht Faux Leather is a problem if it is cleans in normal way.

Although I think it was worth it I had to fight for job as customer had four qoutes  from 4 good local companies before I got there .

If he's tried steaming it out, he will have knackered the pile.
It will be all over the place and will not go back.
If you clean make sure this is signed for before cleaning.
You don't want him claiming "you did it, i want a new sofa"!!!

Well i thought all was well but not.Cleaned the customers sofa had it for a year not started paying for it yet.Gave him a breakdown off all the chemicals i used.Fib and fab rinse odour fresh microsan, urine remover, and lemon refresh. After cleaning i told him that it is possible that the smell might still be there as it was over two cushions and the wee had gone between 2 of the seats and into the carcass of the sofa, told him i would come out again if the smell had not gone and clean it for the price of fuel to get there.Well got a call the other day saying there was still a feint smell nothing bad just a slight smell so they bought some stuff from the pet shop to get rid, they sprayed this on the fabric of the sofa and it`s left a big mark on it .They are going to claim on the insurance and said i will be getting a call from the ins comp asking what i used on it.Made it quite clear to them that it`s their fault which they aggreed to.
