he's going to be a busy chap. just jope theres enough weeks in the year to clean that number of houses to pay for the advert.

yes.. whilst the economy is going to tighthen a little you need to be sensible in how you trade through any issues.

as i have always said calculate your costs, and your personal requirements, and then you know the turnover level required.

WORK SMART , and hard, it makes for a slightly easier life.

I cover all west yorks, most work in Halifax and bradford with about 10% of all jobs coming from Wakefield, i cant see this advert making any difference to our business at all. he will have paid £1700.00 + Vat for this add. I have never heard of this company before there was someone with a similar ad a couple of years ago under a different name so it could be the same guy.

He won't be in business next year after charging at that level. The problem is, after seeing that ad, some of the public will think that those prices are the norm.

Unless the guy has just arrived from Poland, in which case he is charging top rates in his mind.

I get these ads in Barnsley which is neighbouring Wakefield, it is quite a poorer area ex mining but it's up to you to find a niche market, thing is if you quote over the phone you'll lose! IMO Thomsons customers aren't that good anyway.

I homed in on the NHS logo ad below. That is a real no no and will get absolutely stuffed if someone spots it.

I have had a couple of customers tell me of a local carpet cleaner offering a full house clean at £75  :, they are still using me at over double and even treble that  , some guys will never learn.

At this level of pricing these people do the work that quiet frankly you wouldn't want to do.

There is plenty of work out there for all of us, at all price points.
