Quick bit of background first:
About a year ago I picked up a customer who's the daughter of my biggest client.
Did her house, a 4 bedder that takes 1 and a half hours both sides of the glass and i charged her £40.
We agree to bi-monthly.
I phone her on the due date, get answer phone, leave message for her to call me....she doesn't.
Try a week or 2 later...same thing.
Try a week or 2 after that...same thing.
I give up and don't call no more.
This was Spring last year.
Get a text last week: Simon, can you come and do my windows please.
I text back: Sorry I've taken you off my list...am too busy...blah blah blah.
She texts back: Sorry for not being in touch but my dad has been very ill and I've been preoccupied.
Now this I know to be true because I do the mum.
OK...so today I do go around to hers to clean....she's not there but the cleaner knows I'm coming and lets me in.
When I'm done the cleaner gives me an envelope with "Simon Window Cleaner" written on it.
I open it....£100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I take £50 and leave a note that £100 is OTT.
She texts me later to say: " Great to have clean windows can you come monthly please"
