« on: January 29, 2008, 03:28:09 pm »
In a factory working Monday - Friday mornings afternoons and nights on a 3 week rota
The chap told me it works out at about £290.
I said oh thats very good for a shift. "No- no its what you earn in a week"
I replied "thanks but no thanks"
the chap answered back " you ain't going to get better money anywhere round here i can promise you! if you don't take it you'll always regret it :-\?"
Off i trotted with a great big smile on my face ;D

to be honest thats not bad money to earn ... in a job like that where there a few securities ie .. holiday pay , sickpay , pension.

but in this day and age with the cost of living i think its hard to survive on less than 500 a week.

the cost of living has sky rocketed

just my two pennies worth

shawn ...

290 a week isnt that bad in a factory, lets face it, its most prob unskilled, take into account your holidays etc etc

That could be one of our customers
Struggling on that money every week  :'(
Paying the bills and of course the window cleaner  ;)
All things considered its not bad money for a single bloke living at home ,
