Kirby Cleaner
« on: November 30, 2004, 07:46:34 pm »
Having just read a post on General Cleaning about Kirby, I wonder if the Kirby cleaner (old) that is sitting in the cellar of our church complete with all attachments is worth something? It gets used occasionally but it's heavy and tends to drag the old ladies round the church hall!

With 25 minutes to go there's an old Kirby with attachments for sale on eBay at just £88.00.  There are always plenty of Kirby's on eBay some sell for a few hundred and others (older ones) go for a song.  It would be worth keeping an eye on eBay to see if you can see one the same as yours, it'll give you an idea of it's worth.

Really good cleaner.
Swivel switch right at the back that kicks in motor to move the whole machine backwards & forwards (hence the heavy bit). Totally seperate motor from the vacuum. I use one bought second hand. Needs understanding as far as cleaning head etc. but works & looks the part. Up to about £1700 to buy new at last contact. About £80 second hand.
