i have a sub pump to deliver my water to the van if i put a switch on the end of the hose to stop the water on the hose will the sub pump be ok till i turn it of as i wast loads of water when the tank is full untill i go and switch it off it will not cause any preasure to the pump and breack it will it

I did a similar sort of thing and did it for two years and the pump worked fine and still does
i used a hoselock connector that had a flow valve on it

i have done the same and put a standard hose and hozelock stop valve and now i dont waste anything

do what i am going to do put a hose lock controll tap on the end off to b&q now to see if they have one

i need it to fit starndard garden hose pipe this will not fit will it marcus

you have standard hose pipe from your sub pump?  Use some 1 inch hose and you'll get a much higher flow rate.

yes i know but i have to transfer it 30 meters or so so would be more expensive than garden hose

I used to have to transfer mine about 25 metres, cost about 50quid for a 30metre length.  If it saves you 10mins in the morning then it'll have paid for itself in 2 weeks easily.
