Thing you put in the downpipe to stop blockages?

Any idea what its called and where to buy one?  Its normally a wire cage looking thing.

It's fora customer and needs to look a bit more 'professional', like a neat bubble of wire.  Thanks for the suggestion though.

Oh, it's also got to be able to be put in from the ground - no ladders!!!

Hmm, yes, that throws up lots of fancy gutter protection systems.  Do you know, I think the thing I'm after would be found in an old ironmonger's shop, next to the bird feed.

That's it!  Get a blackbird to make a nest in the top of the downpipe!  That'll stop any leaves going down it!

Hi Rosy,it`s called gutter grid or gutter guard depending on manufacturer,usually found at most upvc suppliers  ;)

rosy ttry making some you will need chicken wire or galvanized mesh , wire clippers and a baseball bat.C ut a six inch square of mesh and place it over the thick end of your bat then (wearing rigger gloves) form it over the bat it makes a good fit on a lot of downpipes

 hi goto double glazing supplers who specialize also in u,p,v,c fascias its a leaf guard there only pence  :)

Thanks all, I really want a wire one so that the prongs can be bent to suit the size/shape of the downpipe.
