NICE SMELL
« on: December 17, 2007, 01:56:26 pm »
I am always struck by the smell (nice I hasten to add) from the toilets when I visit them on the Motorways.
The instant impession that this give me is one of hygenie and cleanliness. How please do I recreate this in the toilets that I clean in some factorires/offices I contract to. Does anyone know what the cleaning fluids used in these Motorway toilets are?

I think they have time-release air freshners, a bit like glade or ambi pur... we had them at our old offices - excellent, but don't know where you get them from - they look a bit like air conditioner units but about half the size.

not much help am i!!

Hiya,

Almost certainly air freshener dispensers, can be battery operated or electric.

We buy ours from these guys, very good service.

theres lots of things you can do to get a nice smell, there are of course the time release sprays the gels the fan&block, the pineapple chunks mmmm and the high quality citrus oils you can buy by the gallon as well as many other things. i find the best thing is to clean properly. if you are doing toilets to clean the wall and floor adjecent to the toilet and rinse thoroughly every day this removes the ammonia especially from mens rooms. the ammonia is the problem tackle that and win and even basic disinfectant will smell nice at the end of the day.

Why do people always suggest other suppliers of cleaning materials when all they have to do is look at the top of the page-

Put a drop of citrus oil on your hoover filter after cleaning the filter off at the end of each day.

Nothing to do with motorway services but, we always use to once a month wash all our vac filters in zoflora, the smell would linger for ages....
